Inn On The Twenty’s Icewine Chocolate Tart

Shout out to our incredible pastry chef Jayne Inouye for whipping up this decadent Icewine chocolate tart that perfectly captures the essence of Niagara’s Icewine season. This no-bake Icewine chocolate tart combines rich chocolate with the unique sweetness of the region’s signature liquid gold, a highlight of winter in wine country.

No Bake Icewine Chocolate Tart 

Yields one 8″ tart

Ingredients

1 Store bought 8” graham crumb crust (or homemade)
454 g Dark chocolate
250 g 35% Cream
115 g Icewine
20 g Butter
1 Pinch of salt

Method:

  1. Start by melting your chocolate in either the microwave or a bain maire till smooth.
  2. Add in your 35% cream and mix until smooth.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix again until smooth and homogeneous.
  4. Pour into your graham crust shell and let set in the fridge for at least 3 hours.
  5. Cut and serve!

Tips:

This would go well with some berry compote/jam or caramel if you’d like, or eat as is.
