Shout out to our incredible pastry chef Jayne Inouye for whipping up this decadent Icewine chocolate tart that perfectly captures the essence of Niagara’s Icewine season. This no-bake Icewine chocolate tart combines rich chocolate with the unique sweetness of the region’s signature liquid gold, a highlight of winter in wine country.
No Bake Icewine Chocolate Tart
Yields one 8″ tart
Ingredients
1 Store bought 8” graham crumb crust (or homemade)
454 g Dark chocolate
250 g 35% Cream
115 g Icewine
20 g Butter
1 Pinch of salt
Method:
- Start by melting your chocolate in either the microwave or a bain maire till smooth.
- Add in your 35% cream and mix until smooth.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and mix again until smooth and homogeneous.
- Pour into your graham crust shell and let set in the fridge for at least 3 hours.
- Cut and serve!
Tips:
This would go well with some berry compote/jam or caramel if you’d like, or eat as is.
