Bella Terra Vineyards “From Vine to Vintage Tasting Experience”
Nestled amongst the sprawling vineyards of the prestigious Four Mile Creek sub-appellation, Bella Terra Vineyards sits on a 50-acre grape farm that has been tended to by the Puglisi family since 1974. Known for their rich Cabernets and elegant white wines, this family-owned winery is headed by Luciano (Lou) Puglisi who draws on grape-growing knowledge and experience that has been handed down from one generation to the next. As you sip any one of Bella Terra’s wines, you are tasting three generations of grape-growing and winemaking experience. Enjoy a guided tasting of a selection of three wines and a fun “Jar-cuterie” as you learn about the history of the winery and its winemaking philosophy.
The Hare Wine Co “Experiences, Well-Poured” Tasting Experience
Escape to The Hare Wine Co. and enjoy an intimate food and wine experience in their VIP area or patio (weather permitting). Enjoy a flight of four wines paired with a charcuterie board loaded with locally sourced artisanal meats, cheeses and crostini. Kick things off with the soft effervescent Crown Land Sparkling, a blend of Riesling & Muscat, it is the perfect palate cleanser for the bold flavours ahead. Jump into a glass of their light, crisp and food friendly Fontier Pinot Grigio. Try tasting it with the Capocollo for a gorgeous and well-balanced pair. Or better yet, bring out the herbaceous undertones in the wine by pairing it with the Mountain Oak Wild Nettle Gouda. Next, sample a glass of the Frontier Dry Riesling which is the perfect partner for the Mountain Oak Traditional Gouda and thinly sliced Prosciutto Salami – salty vs a touch of sweet! Finally, try the medium-bodied Crown Land Cabernet Franc with the locally sourced Cacciatorino Salami or Thornloe Aged Cheddar. Watch how the fats in this traditional pairing mellow the tannins in this velvety smooth red!
Château des Charmes Estate Winery “Exclusive Wine & Chocolate Journey” Tasting
A private host from Château des Charmes will guide you through this decadent journey of wine and chocolate pairings. Their Rose Sparkling, Traditional Method will be paired with ruby chocolate made from an existing botanical cocoa bean varietal that has just the right attributes to be processed naturally into a sweet and sour bite. Sea salt caramel with milk chocolate is a perfect treat that blends savoury and sweet hints in one rich and delightful flavour that pairs well with their Chardonnay Paul Bosc Estate. Gamay Noir “Droit” from St. Davids Bench will be paired with exotic passion fruit that delivers a sweet and tangy exotic experience to your palate. And lastly, their Cabernet Icewine Paul Bosc Estate will be paired with white Belgium chocolate, a combination of luscious white chocolate with a drizzle of ruby chocolate.
